Dr. Ronald E. Hoxworth, MD, FACS, MBA

Dr. Ronald Hoxworth serves as Professor and Chief of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he also directs the Abdominal Wall Reconstruction Program. Boardcertified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, he is a respected leader in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Hoxworth sits on the Clinical Competency and Residency Review Committees and serves as Residency Site Director for the VA North Texas Health Care System. He is also a contributing editor for Selected Readings in Plastic Surgery, a reviewer for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and a member of the Plastic Surgery Foundation’s Clinical Trials Network Committee. Away from the operating room, Dr. Hoxworth and his wife, Heather—a former police officer—enjoy traveling the country with their two children and are dedicated to family safety and preparedness.​
