Dorcia Meador brings more than three decades of distinguished law enforcement, firearms and instructional experience to Cinco Peso Training Group. She retired from the Fort Worth Police Department following a 31-year career, including 14 years as the department’s rangemaster. In that role, her expertise was relied upon during officer-involved shooting investigations, as well as the selection, testing and evaluation of departmental weapons and equipment.
Recognized throughout the industry as one of the premier female police shooters in the United States, Dorcia is a five-time NRA Women’s National Champion and holds 10 national Police Pistol Combat records across semi-automatic and revolver divisions. Her accomplishments also include the 2023 and 2024 National Service Revolver Championship titles and championship honors in the Texas Police Olympics.
Dorcia is a certified instructor in handgun, shotgun, rifle and submachine gun platforms, as well as Force-on-Force Simunitions and defensive tactics. She is also a graduate of the FBI Physical Fitness and Defensive Tactics Instructor School.
In addition to her instructional and competitive achievements, Dorcia previously served as president of the Texas State Rifle Association. She is widely respected for her expertise in ballistics, ammunition characteristics, weapon systems and practical firearms instruction. Her ability to translate advanced technical knowledge into clear, effective training makes her an invaluable addition to the Cinco Peso Training Group instructor cadre.
