Mike Lane brings over 26 years of law enforcement experience and a lifelong commitment to professional training, leadership, and public safety excellence.
A retired Captain with the Lewisville Police Department, Mike’s distinguished career included service as both a SWAT Team Leader and Administrative Commander, overseeing specialized tactical operations and training. He currently serves as Chief of Police for a Texas-based public school district, where he continues to lead initiatives in school safety, threat response, and community policing.
Mike holds a Master Peace Officer License from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) and has spent more than two decades as a certified TCOLE Firearms Instructor, training officers and civilians alike in pistol, revolver, patrol rifle, shotgun, and non-lethal weapon systems.
His instructional credentials extend further as a Police Academy Instructor, NRA-certified Firearms Instructor, ALERRT Instructor, and Texas Department of Public Safety License to Carry Instructor (24 years). Mike also serves as a School Safety Certification Instructor through the Texas DPS.
A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Mike began his career in law enforcement with an internship at the San Diego Police Department before returning to Texas, where his expertise as a Department Armorer(certified on Remington, Ruger, and Heckler & Koch platforms) and competitive shooter helped shape agency training programs and shooting standards across multiple disciplines.
