Todd Snyder – DPS Regional Director (Ret.)

Cinco Peso Training Group proudly welcomes Todd Snyder, retired Texas DPS Regional Director, to our elite instructor team.

​Todd’s distinguished 26-year career with the Texas Department of Public Safety began after serving with the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office. He quickly rose through the ranks—first as a Highway Patrol Trooper, then Sergeant Investigatorin the Criminal Law Enforcement Division, and later as a Texas Ranger, earning the historic “Cinco Peso” badge shared by Rangers since 1823.

As a Texas Ranger, Todd was a founding member of the Ranger Recon Team, where he and Cinco Peso Training Group co-owner Brad Oliver worked to combat transnational gangs and narcotics trafficking along the Rio Grande. Both men also served as original Special Operations Team Leaders (SRT) for their respective regions.

Todd’s leadership and skill earned him multiple promotions—Lieutenant, Captain, Major, and eventually Assistant Chief of the Texas Rangers, before concluding his career as Regional Director of the Central Texas Region.

Garry Brewer – U.S. Marshal (Ret.)

Cinco Peso Training Group is proud to welcome retired U.S. Marshal Garry Brewerto our distinguished cadre of instructors.

​
Garry’s law enforcement career spans decades of service and leadership within the United States Marshals Service, where he served as U.S. Marshal for the District of Wyoming, appointed by U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions. His extensive experience also includes roles as Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal, Supervisory Deputy/Fugitive Task Force Commander, and Public Information Officer.

​A graduate and instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Garry has taught courses ranging from firearms and tactical operations to hate and bias crimes. His background includes specialized training in Protective Investigations, Special Response Team (SRT) operations, and Tactical Medicine.

​

He has served as a COOP Program Manager, Court Security Coordinator, and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) response specialist with the Hazardous Response Unit. Additionally, Garry is certified through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) as both a Master Peace Officer and Instructor.

With a wealth of operational experience and instructional expertise, Garry Brewer brings unmatched professionalism and tactical knowledge to the Cinco Peso Training Group team.
